A basic income is “conditionally in favor, but opposed depending on the design.”
In general, I’m more in favor if it can protect the foundation of people’s lives. But if it’s implemented in a way that goes off track—like a “system where you don’t have to work”—then it will ultimately cause problems for the people who need help, so I think it could also flip to opposition.
