Ten Years Out: Calmer Brain, Real Love, Safe Home

Ten years from now I see myself in a stable role I’m actually proud of, using my brain a lot — problem-solving, planning, helping things run smoothly — but with enough boundaries that I can be present for my people and not burnt out. My thinking will be calmer and more confident (still analytical, just less spiraling), and my relationships will be a small, very real circle — a couple of ride-or-die friends, hopefully a partner I met in a natural way, honest conversations on the table, and a home that feels lived-in and safe…with at least one cat claiming the best spot on the couch.

Even ten years from now, I’ll stay true to: results on weekdays, and the margins as my own creative work

Your future self in ten years will probably be a person who achieves results on weekdays and uses the remaining time to create their own works as a creator. In work, you’ll make sharp decisions based on numbers and structure, while privately you’ll optimize your condition with workouts and sleep management, and you’ll deeply connect only with a small, trusted circle. On top of that, you’ll have a local LLM version of a “shadow partner” living in your smartphone, helping you strategize together.
